Dining on campus isn’t one size fits all. Our meal plans were designed with you in mind. If you are looking to enjoy a meal with friends or just a snack on the go – we’ve got a plan to fit every appetite.

We’ve kept what’s most important to you in mind, building in the convenience, flexibility, quality, value and healthy options you deserve. Explore our meal plan options to learn more about what would be the best fit for you.

  • Do I need to buy a meal plan?
    If you’re living in a residence hall (Fairview, Residential College, Irvington House), you’re required to be on the All-Access meal plan as a First-Year student. If you stay in an apartment, Greek house, or anywhere off-campus you are not required to buy a plan but may if you want to.

  • Will my meal plan auto renew for next semester? 
    Yes, the plan you choose for the Fall will stay the same for the Spring unless you fill out the Meal Plan Change form. The form for that is available here.

  • Will unused meal plans or DB roll over to a future semester or year? 
    Meals & Flex Dollars expire at the end of each semester and do not roll over until the next. If you have Dawg Bucks on your account, those will be available to use until you graduate from the university. To add on Dawg Bucks, click here.

  • If I have already purchased a meal plan, can I change it?
    You have the first two week of the fall & spring semesters to change your plan. You can do so by filling out the survey here.
Don’t worry - simplicity and convenience are all within reach. Once you have a meal plan, your student ID works like a debit card. Just swipe your card and the meals and points are deducted from your meal plan account.

Add-On Dawg Bucks

Dawg Bucks can be used at any of our locations, 7 days a week, 24 hours a day. Make sure you have what you need to buy what you want!  Please give us 24 hours to process the add-on. If add-on is made during the weekend, please give us until Monday to process the order.

We offer a 5% incentive bonus on all Dawg Bucks purchases throughout the year! Buy $100, get $5 free! Buy $200, get $10 free!

At Butler University, meal plans are convenient, flexible, and loaded with options. Meal Plans give you dining locations all across campus with a range of hours from as early as 7:00 am to as late as Midnight. With meal swipes and Declining Balance to access all these services, you get guaranteed value, whether you eat on campus three times a week or three times a day! Change/Cancel Process
1. Students in the residence halls (Ross, Fairview and ResCo) are required to be on the All Access Plan.

2. Other students have the opportunity to elect one of the two voluntary plans (65 meals or 40 meals per semester with corresponding flex dollars). On-campus students make this selection when they complete their online housing contract in their my.butleraccount.

3. The deadline to adjust or cancel meal plans for 2017-18 are: Fall 2017 September 1st and Spring 2018 January 26th.
